Door Mirror Ripped Off...

Car  1998 BMW e46 323i
Some scally-wag has decided my door mirror looks better on the pavement than on my car,.. Personally I disagree.

As it's off a 172 (electric and colour coded) I'm having to remortgage my wife, kids, home and sell my dog to the local takeaway to replace it...

Costing me over £100 to fit it myself with mate's rates!

ANYWAY:

How does one go about removing the interior trim, the triangular piece of plastic on the door by the A pillar to remove the old stump/bracket for the mirror?

Does one just pull at it, or would one find this would lead to difficult refitting and probably an additional rattle?

Any help aprreciated,

John

why over £100 ??

I have 2 mirrors sat here!!

£50 for both!
Electric, heated and colour coded.

Triangle bits just pull off, then you have 3 bolts under going into the mirror. No rattles as its a tight fit.

Simple as.

Main dealer price...

£35 ish for spraying up, I dunno why it comes to over £100 to be honest...

On order now anyway.

yeah the plastic bit pops of a peice of piss like Has said. Get a screwdriver behind it at the top and pull towards you, then can get your finger behind and POP it comes off. iirc that is.
