Door open light

Hi,
My girlfriends sister has just got an 02 1.2 16v Estreme.
On the dash the door open light is constantly on, even when all the doors are closed. I've checked all the switches, the front doors and the boot lock. they all depress OK, but the light never goes out.
Also the boot catch, the part on the actual chassis, not the tailgate, has a fair amount of play in it, is this normal?

Any advice will be much apprieciated.

the boot catch, yes they rock back and forth quite happily. As for the dash light, I would remove the switches from the car and check the associated wiring behind. Oh and welcome to the club mate! :approve:
