'Door Open' warning light showing

Hi guys, bit of help if somebody wouldnt mind. I tried to lock my car the yesterday with my fob, as usual, but it made a single prolonged beep and wouldnt alarm itself. I ended up just locking it with the key. Anyway, this morning i noticed that the 'door open' light was on. I got out, opened and closed the boot and it went off again. Problem solved i thought...but no. Basically i have to really slam the boot shut now for it to think its shut. I rang Renault and theyve done their best to scare me by saying it could be a £400 job if its related to a computer?!?! Anybody any ideas what else it could be? Thanks in advance

Could be a faulty bonnet sensor? Try disconnecting it for a couple of days and see if the problem goes.

As said above check the wiring to the rear door check the locks working ok oil it up etc.

It's definitely the boot, Matt. Yeah I'll check those things and see where it gets me. Thanks
