Door Speakers Mk1

Hey this is my first post, I'm looking for some advice for my mate who has a little MK1 PH1 Paris 1.2l. Its got a pair of speakers in the dash either side which I have just upgraded to a set of pioneer 10cm 2way coaxial speakers. They sound a hundred times better than the original ones, but they are a bit too small to be the only speakers in the car for a half decent system. The plan is to go down the scrappy and find a pair of clio door cards with holes cut in them for speakers, because his clio doesnt have any right now.
So my question is this; is it possible to run a set of speakers in the doors off the existing wiring loom in the car? OR will we need the wiring loom from a clio with speakers in the doors?

  Never above 25mpg
Or you could cut the holes in for the new speakers yourselves and buy some new speakers with grilles so it looks quite standard and then hook them up to an amp so you wont have to mess around with the loom

  Works...kind of...
I cut holes in my standard (none speaker) door cards with a jigsaw.

For wiring I recommend using proper speaker cable directly to the ISO block behind the HU, or to an amp. Don't see the point getting half decent speakers and then using the carpy OEM loom.

Here's what mine looks like with Boston Acoustic 13cm's.

Will be making way for some 17cm components soon though. Will have to make some MDF baffles/pods.
