DOS Attack

I've just checked my email and found a shedload of security warnings saying that my router firewall had detected a DOS attack. I understand what they are and what its intention of use is for, but why attack my IP?

Do you think it was just some gayboy (probably a mate) or something else. The DOS were all timed throughout the night. I had been downloading stuff yesterday afternoon I just hope I've not picked up anything nasty.

Never seen it do that before..

Probably just someone doing a random search on your ip range. The firewall has ovbiously detected and stopped it so probably nothing to worry about unless it carries on doing it.

when a PC is connected to the internet it only takes 20secs before it starts being attacked :) thats why firewalls are important.
