Downpipe from manifold

How much should this move backwards and forwards ? I had to put my cat back on for the MOT and it move loads. I also get a knocking noise from the front of the car which I cant put my finger on, could it be this ? How hard is it to tighten, I couldnt do it yesterday as it got too dark but there isnt a lot of room up there !!???!?

i could move mine a good 7/8 inchs when puttin my system on!

if ur that worried check around the manifold for cracks or loose bolts!

It should be loose - just reconeccted my down pipe to me manifold and it only moves an inch or two - that will be ure knocking noise - it will be banging against something!

Ok nice one, how hard is it to get up there to tighten ?? Mine moves more than a couple of inches !

check the bolts are tight but the pipe should be able to move a little bit as part of its design.
