Drilled discs make a strange noise!?

  Evo
Has anybody else noticed this or is my car developing a major problem?

Got megane drilled rear discs and during normal driving they are absolutely silent, but get over 90mph or start braking heavily from any speed and you get this noise like a playing card in a bicycle wheel coming from both rear corners...

Or for those who dont know what i mean, its like a high pitched very fast rattle. ( car is stripped so possibly why i hear it so badly? )
Starting to doubt it put it back properly now and the calipers about to vibrate off lol.

Is This Normal?

I had a meg 225 with drilled discs as a company car ages ago. When braking it kind of made a really loud ''SHHHHHHHHHH'' sort of noise.

Yeah this is the noise i get, i know its coming from the drilled discs as i get the noise when braking with just the handbrake. ( fronts are grooved, rears are drilled ).

drilled discs are pretty pointless with modern pad compounds now so replace them with plain when funds allow

Plain pikey cheap n nasty discs + great pads is the weapon of choice... treat the disc as the consumable these days
