Drive Partition?

Decided to lend my laptop to the girlfriend so I'm using the Desktop pc for a bit and fancy improving it a bit. First thing i want to do is get rid of the drive partitions, I have 4 drives (I kid you not) C:\ and D:\ are the only ones used, is it possible to move evrything back to C:\ without buggering up programs in D:\?

Dwnloaded it and its said theres a problem with the boot (Or something of the sort). Decided i'll just clear hard drive and start all over again. By formating the hard drive will the partition go back into the one drive?
Sy

just had another thought... how the hell do i start the formating of the hard drive? lol. I asume the instructions will be quite clear thoughout the process?

Reformatting the drive will not remove any partitions. If you're reinstalling WinXP or Win2000 however, it's easy enough to delete them using that, prior to installation.

Failing that, bung FDISK onto a bootable floppy and run that.

Good 'ol DOS-based features - they never fail! ;)

If he uses PM, yes he can.

If he intends to wipe all partitions when not in the O/S itself, it's not as easy to use - hence the methodology I said above. If you know what you're doing - then PM is fine - if not, you're asking for trouble.
