Drive shaft gone?

Hello, am I correct in thinking that if theres a knocking adn rumbling sound comming from the drivers side & its not the bearing(or there's no play in the bearing) that its the drive shaft?

Are these prone to going?

checked wheel nuts? it could be the shaft

yeah checked them first! I think it must be, how can you check the drive shaft?

Grab the shaft and try to push it towards the box the n pull it back towards the wheel, if youve got play it usually indecates afucked cv.

When driving, is it wobbling through the whole steering rack? feels like the whole wheel is falling off?

^^ well I can feel it threw the wheel some time a bit of a wobble does feel at times like the wheel is falling of when going really slow!

Sounds like it could be the shaft, thats what mine did when the cv gaitor had gone (as it prematurely wears the shaft) If you need a shaft PM me ive got them coming into stock on friday.

when mine went on the passenger side it felt as though the wheel was falling off. Felt like i was constantly drivin over massive cat eyes lol

Pritty much certain its the drive shaft. Been to renault he said something about there been a machnical fault where when their changed the air bags go off any one know about this ? also they quoted me £200 for a new one which i though was ok for a new one.
