drive shaft play?

Should the passenger side drive shaft on my valver rotate when twisted by hand? less than 45 degrees but more than just slightly Dom

It shouldn't rotate the thing should be seated properly it there any give it will rattle.

Thanks edde, why does mine rotate? wear or is something broken. Ive got a spare (passenger side) I'll need to drain the gearbox for that side wont I

Passeneger side yep new gearbox oil remember new sup plug washer as well otherwise it leaks out.

Mine used to rotate a bit. About say a few degrees maybe 10 its just the differentil moving back and forthe plus the three bits on the shaft might not be a tight fit so they'll be loose in there just a combination of tolerances realy.
