Driver's door won't unlock

Hai.

I think I shut the little plastic stopper bit in the latch mechanism yesterday and ever since the driver's door won't unlock. However it works fine if I don't lock the car.

I'm currently having to get in by opening the drivers door from the inside after unlocking the car.

Any ideas?

Mine did this on the passenger side, a new locking mech for £10 off here and it was fit as a fiddle.
