Drivers Side Locking Mechanism Help

When I lock my car (just standard lock, No Alarm) you can hear the mechanism from inside and outside the car which I haven't been able to hear before. Could it be nearing its way out maybe or could I just wack some WD40 on there, keep it nice and lubed... :approve:

its normal to hear it. You do mean the "clunk" noise, right?

ahh noo, sorry should of explained it abit more. Its like a 3 second noise from when I press the button, sounds like its struggling to go in a little bit. It used to just clunk.

I don't know how to make the new noise using my keyboard lol

Wont hurt to try WD-40 i guess, but i doubt it would get to the components.

The locking motor could be failing...

WD 40 may free up the bit you can see, perhaps the motor is struggling to move it..

other than that, im sure a motor factors would have replacements. not sure on costs though.

Use Google, as there are a few online.

Ive used www.eurocarparts.net before, not for electrical issues though, as personnaly id rather leave it to the dealer to repair.
