Driveshaft Popping Out

I've got a S-reg Clio 1.2 8 valve and the passenger side driveshaft keeps popping out of the gearbox,it's been lowered a bit and the mechanic that puts it back in says there is not a lot of grip where it goes into the gearbox with the circlip,anyone had this problem before?.any ideas greatly appreciated.

lowering a car will alter the driveshaft geometry. Have you had the cars tracking set up properly since you had the car lowered?

The circlip is worn, not a massive problem as new circlips are cheap as easy to replace when the shafts out!
