Driveshaft Replacement Costs.

  It's A Reno
Does anyone know how much it costs to have a passenger side driveshaft replaced?
Mine has lost it's original clip and no matter how I repair it, it keeps weeping and is really pi**ing me off.

Cheers

I've found exactly the same problem on my offside one - tried large zip ties & metal ties so far but nothing seems to want to keep it on - large jubilee clip next I think if it fits - will need to repack it with grease though to be safe!! Makes a right mess of all your suspension bits too!!

My offside one was replaced under warranty, and this one has been messing me about for a while now.
I've tried zip ties and steel clips too, but they don't want to play ball.

I've just been on the phone to Reno and they want £99 for a replacement (recon?) one.

Am now waiting for a call from reno service, so we'll see what they have to say.

I'm near derby.

I've just spoken to Sutton Park Reno as it's going there for a service and they said they will have a look when it goes in and see if it is repairable.
Normally I wouldn't trust a stealer, but they've been really great in the past.

It is booked in on 1st of April though...

  Lots of Alfas
You dont need to replace the whole driveshaft if its not caused any damage. Just need a gaitor repair kit which includes the proper clips and grease. Its about £20.

I don't think it has any damage as it's only weeping grease at the moment, but as it's going in anyway, I may just be lazy and let them sort it out.
If nothing else, if it goes again in the next 6 months, they can sort it out again.
