driving problem need help please

hi all, i just got my clio 172 few days ago, and i hv a big problem now..very strange.
when i first got the car, the streeing wheel abit pulling to the left when i drive, so i think is the tracking problem, and then i went to do the tracking adjustment in the gaurage, after they finished, i went to hv a test drive on the straight road, when i put my foot down, the car like slide to the left n come back to the right automaticly, very scary, like not under my control.
and then i back to the gauage, n they dont know the problem and they just adjust it back to b4 i do the tracking adjustment
now the streeing still pull a bit to the left when i drive, but when i drive abit fater to do a left turn, in the middle of the corner, it automaticly pull one more to the left, like loss control
and some time when i turn the streeing to the left or right it got a knocking noise come out as well..
is anyone know what the problem is??:dead:
cheers
andy

Take it back to the garage and ask them to drive it. Sit in with them and explain exactly whats happening.

If they've already lookign at it I'm assuming its not a common problem...

actually i do the tracking adjustment in kwfit(forget the spelling), the tyres gaurage, n i told them the problem, and they hv a test drive as well, but unluckily, they dont know the problem n refund the money to me, and they ask me to check in the other garuage with more quality people like main dealer or something.

Could be the steering rack, damaged teeth in the rack could cause what you suggest, I would also check for movement in the driveshafts, as they could be moving in and out of the hub slighlty on turn.... although this tends to make an awful noise. I lowered a car too low which made the Driveshafts come out of the gearbox on one side if i turned to hard to the left... had to fit spacer rings to keep the driveshafts from moving in and out.

Definatly worth getting a specialist to have a look.

had tis on rs2000 was wishbone bushes which are common fail on many cars, not huge play but even a tiny bit will spit it out on acceleration and when u lift off it will change steering as load comes off.
i used to be able to change lane without turning steering whel, just using the throttle!!
