Dropped valves on 172’s

Hi guys, newbie to the forum here! Just a quick question does anybody know of any recurrent problems or had any issues with the valves on their 172s dropping or the guides causing any problems with the valves?

Any help would be appreciated

never come across this on a 172 although there was small faulty batch of heads with valve guide problems on some of the 16v engines.that problem was resolved a long time ago and it only affected about a batch of twenty heads anyway.why do you ask?

Cheers for the response guys, a friend of mine who is a mechanic is working on one with such a problem and he asked me to see if i could find out if it was a common thing
