I have just sold the v6, got a good price for it so now i have a decent wedge in my back pocket to play with.
I want a raw divers car, the v6 was fantastic to own, but not quite all that. Im indecisive weater to spend the whole lot on a nice spangaly Trophy or save half the wedge and buy a 172 cup which, I would of thought is just as much fun to drive and as quick but not such a nice car,ie, the recaros, toys newness etc. The bloke who has just bought my car drives a 172 cup and his wife has a trophy. He let me go for a drive in his cup...
Compared to the vee it is obviously a lot differant car, doesn't have the noise and grunt. You have to give it beans to get it shifting but it does go well, and i could tell you could have a lot of fun with it! It had some twin exit exhaust and i/k so it didn't sound to bad either, its prob not the best example ever but it has 37k on the clock, he said i could have it for 6 grand. Do you think that would be a fair price?
In the afternoon i went to few 'TOM1600's troph thats for sale, he's i nice bloke and his Trophy is very nice indeed! Couldn't fault it apart from on slight chip on the bonnet. We went for a drive, must admit i would have to get an exhaust etc on there because its lacking some sound track untill your hammering it. Obviously handled very well etc but is it worth paying doudle the price of a cup which basicly does the same job??
The Trophy just didn't make me want to throw my money at the seller like the vee did.
