seen foxys plates and think they look smart. just been on the website where he got his and have seen the choice of black for the front with silver txt.
questions are
1. would it be illegal to put a black one on my black clio? ive know they go on old cars.
2. has anyone done this and got pics.

I think it could look quite nice but without seeing first hand cant really tell.

ive got black plates on my car... but i had to sign a disclaimer form in the shop to say the are for show use only.. just so the shop dont get in trouble... i have been pulled over once for them, and the bloke just said.. these are only legal on cars before 1973... did you know that? and i said.. no officer etc etc. lick lick.. and he was just like.. if i wasnt so busy i'd make you change them now.. but just go home and change them.. if i see you again i'll give you a ticket.... AND THATS A £30 FINE!... me saying ok sorry officer.. ill go straight home...

anyways.. £30 seems a good price to keep my black plates on lol

you ever seen the aston db9 with the black plates on round our way (leigh)? they look pretty smart, dont know if hes ever been pulled though

In short the police took my car off me and it cost £150 to get back out the yard .....was mainly down to the D on the plates and fake german style tax disc tho

Tempted to get some more for the illy at weekend tho lol

It's off the car at the minute, I'm trying to have a new bracket made up for it so it fits in the hole.. there was me thinking I got a bargain on the bumper cos it had a pre-cut hole and my exhaust would fit straight in.. fat chance.

Back on topic though, I've never had any trouble with the federales cos of the plates.
