Dumb Power Supply Qustion - system Builders

NEED HELP! system Builders

Guys i just got a corsair 620w power supply. it comes with a EPS12v 8 pin connector and a 12v 4 pin connector. My motherboard supports both. which one should i use for my setup? they both seem to work so i'm confused as to the point...

q6600, 4g ram, 8800gts 512mb

please help! right now its the only thing i can think of why my hard drive isn't working properly. its hanging a lot and works perfectly in another system!

Not sure about the psu but are you sure its the hard drive making it hang. When I recently built mine it kept hanging and I found out that the default voltage settings for the RAM in bios were too low causing it to hand and crash fairly often. Bumped them up a bit and its stable as a rock now.

surely it wouldn't ship below norma specs? i'll try mucking around with it then

the ram will having timings written on the side and optimum voltage, you should adjust these in your bios accordingly. i had the same problem when i built mine a month ago!

just make sure not to go too far with it, what mobo and ram are you using?

Asus P5n-t deluxe and 4gig of OCZ SLi 1066 ram. think i'm going to get another mobo tbh.
