Dunno what to do

I currently own a 05 Inferno 182 Cup with low milage and I'm really happy with it, never skipped a beat and am well chuffed with it all round.... BUT i have been looking at some nice 197s on piston heads.

And im not sure if I should sell mine and buy one or just keep mine.

What do you lot think I should do?

No chance id keep it, thats a sweet example matey!

IMO the 182 has alot more charcter!

keep it, have fun with it then when the 197 goes down in price a bit, chop it in for a nice one. IMO.

Have you driven a 197? If you haven't probably best to have a go in one before you decide as you may not like it. If you're happy with the 182 and it's a nice example, keep it.

No not test driven a 197 yet.... thats whay i was asking.

I am happy with it.... so yeah like you lot said best to keep it till im bored of it and then get rid....

Best thing is if i keep my 182 i can get it remapped for free from my brother. Hes got his own tuning company, so I will get it mapped off him then see how it is...

Are you remapping from standard???

You need to get a new exhaust (de-cat), induction kit/panel filter, and some decent brakes if you want to appreciate the 182 more and easily achieve the same if not more power than the 197 with lest weight.

If you can afford a 197 then the above mods will be cheaper and you will have a lot more fun!!!!!!

Oh yeah, don't forget the coilovers!!!

i was in the same posistion. stuck between my 182 and the 197. i have now ordered my 197,in white etc etc. as much as i love my 182,i just need a change. its a tough decision,gunna miss my car soo much! cant wait 2get my 197 tho

Was speaking to the instuctor at my last trackday & received this email from the guy that runs the company.

Hi Steve

yes was a good day, glad you enjoyed it - you looked to be going very well
in the Clio! I heard you mention you might be wanting to change it for
something else. I would reccommend keeping the car as there is very little
else out there anywhere near as good, for any money. The new 197 Cup is
heavier and no more powerful, despite what Renault claim. And the rest are
way behind even that. So stick with what you've got would be my advice!

The 197 is a supriour car to the 182.

If you're bored of the 182 and can afford it go for it, doubt you will regret it.
