DVD/CD Burner

hey, i was asked today if its possible to record a program off the tv onto a dvd disc, using a recorder, then use this dics to copy to a blank cd, so the sound coulf be listened to in the car on a normal head unit? like a program like mastermind or somethin?

well you could just record the line out from the tv to line in on sound card then burn as cd?

sorry, im a bit of a technology dunce, do you mean connect the tv to the pc? sorry for the dumb question
