DVD Player - Video Ipod

Ok, the missus is bying my a video ipod for my bday and im about to buy a DVD player headunit for the car.

If i buy a dvd headunit (with an ipod connecion hole thing)

cant remember what its called

Will it just play the videos straight from the ipod to the dvd player?

it must be an ipod video input cable,not many will do that,talking high end models

no but the other way you can do it is get a video output lead for the ipod and an aux in lead for the head unit and plug it in as an aux. Will mean you'll have to select the videos on the ipod but that would work fine.

therefor i would have to take out the sub, is that correct?

ah i see so if you do it the way i was on about you can choose the videos via the screen
