dvd

Probably. The Standard is Composite out/in (For Video).. most screens have it, and most normal dvd players have the output.

£100 - £200 Im guessing.

If I was wanting just DVD, Id put a PS2 in there.. and then you get DVD Player and games.. and its not that much more expensive..

Dunno, Id say at least 300Watts and they are £50 at the moment from Maplin.. or Machine Mart.

I did all the maths on the power consumption and it worked out that a ps2 (and an xbox for that matter) will need at least a 100w inverter, for every 10w you draw about 1 amp from a car battery.

BUT !

Dont get a 100w invertor, get at least a 150w one.. preferably a 300w from maplins which are as Daz said going for about 40-50 quid just now. But you have to decide if you want a modified sine wave invertor or a true sine wave invertor.

Well mains electricy is a true sine wave, a car is DC ergo no sine wave, so it needs to be introduced.

basically if you plugged a clock into a modified sine wave inverter it might runs 3 times faster than normal, plugged into a true sine wave inverter it would run normally, there are other implications of using a modified one but they should be alright for consoles.
