Dying Clio???

  330Ci (Fail)Sport
My car won't even tick over and can't even jump start it from another car!

Battery died on me on friday (hadn't driven for a week but started 1st time but had to park up 2 mins later and then would not start again) but jump started it fine from another car, then drove it for 1.5 hrs and was fine on saturday. Then it took a few seconds longer to start up on Christmas Day, so drove it around a bit but then after filling up with petrol, it refused to start again! Not only that, but then it would not even jump start when tried from 2 different cars! So had to leave it on the roadside all night...

I know it might be battery (replaced about 6 months ago) or alternator but it should still start from a jump start shouldn't it???

Does anyone have ANY ideas or reasons why this may happen???

It doesn't ick over, but I can here some sort of quiet buzzing sound from near the battery when trying to jump start it.

Its a mk2 ph1 1.4 RT.

Thanks a lot mate! Will def give it a wobble when I get to my car! I hope thats what it is! If it is, is that just because of the weather or will it need replacing or cleaning or something?

Turns out the problem was the starter motor connection....cos its underneath the engine near the exhaust or something, its gets really dirty and now should need replacing very soon.....more costs....
