Dynamique install questions!

Hi all, hoping to pick your brains over a few things before i get started properly on mine...

1. Firstly, I am right in saying that Mk2 Ph2 Clios have 13cm (5.25") speakers front and rear?

2. When removing the rear speakers, does that panel over them simply pull off completely? I prised the rear of it off with a screwdriver and tried pulling the rest off but didnt want to break it by pulling too hard?

3. What size are those Torx screws that are holding the OE speakers in? (whole bloody car seems put together with them!) oh, and does anyone know can i just get a bit/socket in just that one size for this job as i dont have any torx sockets?

4. What is the best way to get the speaker wires from inside the car to (a) the speakers in the doors and (b) the tweeters on top of the dash? as i intend to mount the crossovers in the boot near the amps and run all the wires up to the front from there.

5. What are peoples opinions on running without a spare and carrying a can of tyre-weld in order to have a boot install? or alternatively has anyone managed to install a 12" sub and 3 amps and still keep access to the spare?

Think thats it for now, cheers guys/girls! :)

1. Yes you are

2.Yes there are 3 clips around the drinks holder.

3. Cant quite remember the sixe about T20 or comething close but yes all the speaker screws are the same.

4a. Some people dril through the doors, I just connected mine up to the wiring behind the stereo. probably made it pointless spending £2 a metre on High quality OFC cable but hey it was easier!

4b. With the dash off youll be able to drop the cable through the hole really easily.

5. Never used tyre weld and heard mixed reports about it. Ive still got my spare but it would take an hour just to get at it! Tom on this forum used to have an install that he could take out in 5 minutes so you could maybe ask him for ideas.

Why 3 amps? Not just have a 4 channel for the comps and coaxs and a bridgeable 2 channel or mono amp for the sub?

Next question then... does the dashtop come off easily enough then, and if so then how so?! lol

3 amps simply because they are the amps i already have knocking about and have skinted myself on other stuff at the moment. Ive got two JBL 2-channel amps to run the comps and 6x9s and a 2 channel Rockford im bridging to power the sub.

cheers for the helps lads. :)

Theres a guide on the main page how to take the dash off. Fairly straight forward.

Fair enough but do a search on 6*9s and youll change your mind. Cos of the sub moving air in theboot the 6*9s get distorted, sound like there farting and then blow! Much better to put soething in the original speaker location.

6x9s are going to be boxed in below the shelf to try and avoid that m8. i know they are un-necessary but i had them from one of my old motors and just thought sod it, ill stick them in.

will have a gander at that guide now. cheers john.

will do mate, at the moment ive got all the stuff i just need to get the mdf and fitting sorted out - its infinity speakers/sub all through, jbl/RF amps and a kenny head unit until i sort out a new one.

I can get it out n about 20 mins and there are no marks or anything on the car. its all made to measure its a really tight fit. I found that if you make the false floor well enough it shouldnt need bolting to the car. Oh yeah and you might find velcro really useful.

If i can be of anymore help just let me know.

One thing Id do if i was redoig mine would be to put in extra cable length. Both my false floors dont need bolted in but the cables are too short to lift the floor high enough to get to the spare wheel!
