Easiest few BHP i've gained!!

Just a quickie to say I had the exhust on my car knocking just pass the CAT (its a custom Hayward & Scott Cat back). Took it to quick fit to make use of there ramps. Turns out exhaust was blowing in two places because clamps had loosened.

Left car with the guy to apply sealant and re fit the clamps. Result now is the car defo pulls a lot better, and the knocking has gone. I must have been losing a few BHP without even realising.
So any of you lot that have knocks or loose exhausts, get them cjecked out as it pays off!!:approve:
Best of all the guy said I could have it for free (he was gonna charge about £20!) Thumbs up to Kwik Fit

cool can't knock a freeby, always good advice to get these things checked out like you say. Our exhaust needs refitting at the mo as it is knocking about a bit but we have got bigger problems to worry about right now anyway :dapprove:. She is bleeding so we have had to leave her at the renault hospital.

Im sure once sorted you will notice an improvement in the performance. Hope the Renault hospital mend her quickly!!

Might have to pop mine along to Kwik-Fit...my Prospeed has developed a knock (very noticable on startup). Sounds like my symptoms are very similar to yours as mine is deffo not pulling as well at the moment.

Yeah, needless to say i had EXACTLY the same problem after arranging a group buy with hayward&scott they left my backbox on the p*ss! But all worked out nicely in the end

The Beckenham one mate, just got chatting about my car to him, and I guess he could see I was genuine, so let me have it for free!!

Trouble is, the knocking has started again! Think i am to just have to wedge something heat resistant between the floor and the centre box :S
