Easter at the ring (lots of pics)

Myself, ben_p and bigbob headed across to the ring on the thursday before good friday and arrived back in the early hours of last Friday morning. We also met up with Cal46 and his mate who isnt a member on here.

Had a really good time and although the weather was bad at times as you will see, it didnt stop us getting some good track time in!

Sunday's weather was much better. As it was easter they opened up the GP circuit. 20euros for 20mins bargain! Awesome circuit. Myself and ben had a few excursions!! lol especially at the tricky first corner. Also did a few laps of the ring!

The silver porsche I overtook on the first lap couldnt repass me for a whole 20laps and I didnt employee any blocking tactics! He was a little annoyed at not being able to out brake a french tin pot!

This scooby lost it in the first session and managed somehow to find a barrier!

we managed to break 10mins, but really there was only one day for pushing and we are still very in expierenced!

tis no problem mate.

For us from manchester it 580miles to the ring. We paid the following:

Just shy of two tanks each way to the ring total of £160
Ferry is £60 return
Accomodation we paid £72 a night (could fit upto 5 people in the appartment)

A lap cost around £17 plus fuel!! that can be reduced to around £15 with a 4lap ticket.

Food isnt too expensive you can eat out, 2coures plus beer for less £15 a head.

Its relatively cheap for considering it involves cars! lol, but itsnt the cheapest holiday, reckong it came to £600 a piece for me and ben car sharing. But then we did blow some cash and stayed for a week!

Nice one guys. Ironically they cancelled the VLN Saturday due to the snow and opened up the whole weekend for TF. As the snow had melted it was a fantastic weekend apparently and 20 degrees!!
