not without taking the door card off unless you get a pdr guy to do it.

looks average really, easy repair but its on a funny part of the door buy the swaige line, should be fine though

Similar dent on my old clio cost me about £80 but that was with it being sprayed too.

Dent devils come to your door free and tell you there and then if they can do it.

£40 per panel for dents in general.
Call A professional or you could end up going tits up

im going to take the panel off inside and steam it out just really didnt want to as of all the lecy windows n stuff buh im not paying 40-80 £ just for that dent mabe if the crease was bigger but i no this will come out nicely and "if" the paint warps or cracks then ill pay but id rather jsut DIY it thanks any ways

im all for trying stuff yourself, i did pdr for a year at carcraft and that aint an easy one to get out even though it looks easy, so dont go at it thinking it will be, take ya time with it

i will be takign my time i not a friend that works with thease at a body shop, and hes agreed to come along when i do it he said as long as im slow with it and heat it up then it should be ok but if i have to push it to hard he will take it in for me cost me £40 but he sed try itmyself as its borderline for DIY i dont want to get it resprayed sooo ill take my time on it

strip your door down too to make it easy for yourself, dont try piss about getting your screwdriver or spoon or whatever through some tiny gap, drop all the window stuff out if you have to, just remember where it goes ;)

  clio mk2 p1 1.4 16v
yea i will do that ive tryed messin with electric windows before lmao and did just that haha but thanks ill be stripping it down later in the week

  clio mk2 p1 1.4 16v
on another note, on the pictures, can you see the orange peel paintwork, its just the "out of factory"paintwork never had a respray, what can i do to make it nice and snooth

it dont look *too* bad. but if you really want it smooth it will need wet flatting with either P1500/P2000/P2500. Then mopping up with a rotary with some G3.

Probably best to ask your friend who does bodywork if he wants to do it, easy job tbh

  clio mk2 p1 1.4 16v
lol i thorght that it was a diy job he sed he not got time this week and will sort me out next week thank i just wanted to do myself lol

  clio mk2 p1 1.4 16v
ive tryed a plunger and it removed 99% of the dent and this is whats left, its the crease thats not coming out i could try a bigger plunger lol, any one suggest this on a dent this size?

you can get bodywork plungers, but tbh, theyre only good for pulling out dents ready for fillering.

very rarely does a dent just 'pop' back to its normal shape, it has to be masaged slowly and carefully.

with a plunger its pretty hard to do slow and careful, its just a case of pull and hope lol

ive got some old flat headed screw drivers that ive ground the heads down so theyre rounded to use for PDR. sure they aint 2k worth of bars but they do the job lol

lol its only small, ive been told to heat the panel and use a spoon with a rag over it and tease the dent out this sound about right?

well if you try and push the dent out you'll strech the metal (its already streched by being dented) you have to shrink the metal

You're the guy who wants to do the retrim? I took my door trim off yesterday to tackle a small parking dint in the same area. You can strip the door but the metal inner skin will still be in your way there, you wont be able to see the dent from the back and will need to get your hands in between the two skins.
It's a pisser of a job to try and get pressure down on it unless you have some decent tools, after messing about with it for a while you'll be glad to bung you're mate £40 to sort it out.

On a side note the material pannels you planned n changing are held on with some really strong white clips (also on the back panels) I'm sure they come out somehow but it didnt look easy.

  clio mk2 p1 1.4 16v
yea ive had the pannals off today lmao what an arse on im geting it done at m8s shop for £30 lol shuda listend to the first few posts really buh hey... ya never learn until you try yaself im too mechanically minded to just leave it to the pros every time at least i no when to stop ... n i never bodge a job sooo any ways ..... thanks alot guys
