Easy way to get at Aux Belt?

  2001 Clio 1.6 16v
Hi,

I've read on here that you need to take the bumper and headlight off to get access on a 172 (2003 model).

But there are some comments on a quicker way, but no detail - is there one on a full fat (ie with air con) 172?

Thanks,
Matt

You don't have to take the bumper and light off its just makes it easier if you do. Renault methods say to take them off.

Yes, would like to know more too. Better take the front right wheel and the arch off right???
And, do I need a special tool to remove or fit the aux belt? I got the idler too, better change it as well huh? What else?

GDI took off front bumper and drivers side headlight, having watched them I cant honestly believe it's possible to change the aux belt without doing so, looked a nightmare job
