ECU/ Chip upgrade!!

Anyone recomend an ECU/chip upgrade or are they a waste of time? Whats the main pros and cons of them on a 182??

i always hear good things about a remap, more torque etc dont think theres really any bhp to be had.

Dont touch a chip, not good for a car imo, re-maps from some where recomended might improve your torque at low range a bit but doubht you're going to get any more bhp, what you got to remember is the 182 is a car sold as a sports version so renault will get everything they can from an engine, its not like say 1.5 diesel where the market is focused on a woman going to the shops so the power is purposley limited

with a 98 Ron re-map you can squeeze some effective gains in both bhp & ft/lb for the money spent, MPG increases quite considerably too.
