ecu failure

someone help me i have a renault clio automatic on a 04 plate i took it to a garage and had a new automatic clutch fitted since then m car wont go into reverse. i had someone put it on a computer and its coming up with a ecu failure. i want to no could the garage have done this why they were changing my clutch

is it a semi automatic or a proper auto?

As above...I honestly doubt it's a genuine ECU failure. Sounds like either a clutching issue or an oil pressure related problem. Fred loves BVM changes I believe

take it straight back, its gearbox/clutch related, they changed the clutch...regardless of auto or not, take it back
