Ecu locksets

Hi all quick one are the locksets on the clios. Interchangeable? Eg. Can you take a lockset from a 1.4 and fit it in a 197? Would the car atleast start? Or at the very least pass the immobilizer?

I have a solid red light on my 197 06. Changed the lockset from a donor 1.4 and nothing changed. Still brings up same error code steering fault.

1.4 keyset wont work as immobiliser wont be matched to 197 ecu. You would need a full 197 setup off the same car, ecu, uch, key, steering lock as all coded together.

Best bet is to get the steering lock fixed and coded
