ECU Tuning - OBD

Does anyone know if this is achievable with the current ECU as fitted to the MK 2 V6 255? I have an OBD interface but cannot try till i get home at the weekend. I found custom-code on the web and downloaded their software. i was hopiing to play around with the settings and testing with some accellerometers and lamda info to see what could be cleaned up in the maps. I really just wanted to know if there is some kind of lock code on the ECU to stop non dealers playing. Is the ECU a marelli unit BTW???

The ECU in the V6 MK2 is a Bosch ME7.6.4 and you will NOT connect to it with custom code as this is designed for VAG cars running Custom Codes's software.

I can sell you an interface which will communicate with the Vee but it's not cheap!

i have an ISO OBDII inteface i am just looking for software to enable me to change preferences...

But he will still need to download the software from the ECU and EVC will not sell to him!
