Eddie’s E21 Photoshoot

So yesterday, along side Aucky’s Trophy, I did some photos for Eddie of his E21. So here are the photos-

These are all great shots, Niall.
Really like the reflection shots, but they are all very crisp and a good mix of angles too.

As said already Niall, I am absolutely made up with these, truly brilliant work.

The second to last one is a properly good photo, I love it.

Thanks very much again.

Really good shots!

Any chance of a little write up on the shots? How they were taken ect.

Thanks alot

Liam.

Well really, there isn’t all that much to it, but here goes-

The car was placed where there were no other cars in the background that could be distracting, it was also placed next to the puddles so that I could achieve the reflections that add a nice element to the image. The car was also placed directly under one of the lights so that it would be lit nicely against the dull background as to make it more prominent, this will also complement the lines and the colour of the car.

Then, once in place I went a fair distance away for the longer shots, with my lens zoomed all the way out at 200mm; the aperture was set to F2.8 to get a nice blur to the background elements to - again - make the car more prominent in the scene. With the Fisheye ones it was the same procedure just a lot closer to the car with it being a very wide angle lens.

As for the settings on the camera, I chose an ISO of (from memory) 800 so that I could have a higher shutter speed to avoid any camera shake. I chose the shutter speed as quite high so that the scene was quite dark to preserve the detail in the highlights and to give the lit lines of the car the dramatic look. This high shutter speed also means - as I said above - that there would be no visible camera shake in the photos.

After all of this it’s just a case of adjustments in Lightroom.

I hope this is useful.

Yeah he's right Niall (regarding your website)

It's a 316 to be accurate, as it isn't the injected version. It might sound picky, but worth pointing out for accuracy purposes.
