Is this a reasonable combo? Need to know if the OE shocks will be reasonable to drive with the slightly lower eibachs until I can get some new shocks. If not I'll just keep the springs in their box until I'm flush for 4 new dampers too.
Yeah they will be absolutely fine! You will notice slightly improved handling over the standard setup just by fitting the springs. I had sportlines and standard dampers on my old phase 1 and it was fine. If your looking to track your car then uprated dampers or coilovers would be a better idea.
Mine has this setup, Sportlines and standard dampers.
Not had it on track yet, but feels absolutely fine on the roads. The progressive nature of the springs is the most noticeable difference to me...they really soak up all the little bumps, but properly firm up when you lean on them a bit.
with sportlines fitted is it necessary to change the geometry from standard ? do the wheels catch on anything when running lower spings ? question in relation to A phase 1 172....
