Eibach Sportlines and standard dampers

Car  Inferno 182 & Saxo
Is this a reasonable combo? Need to know if the OE shocks will be reasonable to drive with the slightly lower eibachs until I can get some new shocks. If not I'll just keep the springs in their box until I'm flush for 4 new dampers too.

Yeah they will be absolutely fine! You will notice slightly improved handling over the standard setup just by fitting the springs. I had sportlines and standard dampers on my old phase 1 and it was fine. If your looking to track your car then uprated dampers or coilovers would be a better idea.

Mine has this setup, Sportlines and standard dampers.

Not had it on track yet, but feels absolutely fine on the roads. The progressive nature of the springs is the most noticeable difference to me...they really soak up all the little bumps, but properly firm up when you lean on them a bit.

Cheers guys, I'll order new dampers in a month or two then. Eibachs will be ordered tomorrow :)

I prefer the pro-line's, but both are a good option. Slightly better ride than sportlines, but just as good when pushing on.

I have sportlines and standard dampers...lets me honest it does make a big difference for the cost of £80 (2nd hand) for a set of springs

with sportlines fitted is it necessary to change the geometry from standard ? do the wheels catch on anything when running lower spings ? question in relation to A phase 1 172....

No, just sensible to have tracking etc checked after a few weeks and they've settled.

yea I had a geo test anyway but you should have no worries with that setup. As ForceIndia says, get tracking etc done after a few weeks
