Electric warning light

I had been driving around 30mins normally, pulled over for about 15 mins. When I drove away again the electrics warning light was on. Anyways drove for bout 2mins like this it was really slow, revs seemed to be limited at 2000 but maybe I was imagining that :S

Pulled over again, took keys out of ignition and waited a few minutes. Started the car and everything is normal again, my cars the mk2 ph2 1.2 16v

Whadya reckon, have I got anything to worry about? Its way out of warranty btw :rasp:

Okay so that post above was like a month and a half ago. It has started happening more frequently now like few times in a week. Anyone know anything simple to check...

Failing tht, will I need to take it to a Renault or Renault specialist garage or will any garage be able to find the fault -- I would rather keep cost down!!

throttle body ( FBW )
ecu ( rear of manifold )
lambda sensor
engine wiring loom

All common faults with the D4F model
