Electric Window bust!

Went to put the driver window down last night and it stopped working. It seemed to come away from the mechanism.

Took it into the garage this morning to see if they could tell me how much but they have to look at it properly - anyone got any ideas?

very common, call matt at specialist breakers, he has new regulators in stock

they're about £150 from renault, 50% cheaper from matt

ffs - this is when I start to dislike my car - I want to spend money on making it look great! Bah - we shall see what it costs - atm my window is being held up by cardboard wedged between the window and car.:dapprove:

I got a brand new regulator from Clio Spares a few years ago, think it was about £50+vat.

Just got a quote back from garage for this, £120 + vat - absolutely gutted, just at the time I dont need it as moving at the weekend....:dapprove:

ring specialist breakers! they have brand new regulators CHEAP!

Your lucky, mine broke going over the dartford bridge when it was hammering it down with rain, the runner mounts had sheared off so the glass just fell into the door, had to shut my jumper in to door to keep me a little dryer...

I bought a used one for about 45 quid posted off here, but they are cheap on ebay, about 55 posted for a new pattern part

Not so lucky it was also chucking it down when it happened to me - typical. The glass fell right down on me too but managed to get it back up, I thought it had smashed the glass at first, greatful that it didnt.
