well i left work yesterday put the window down as it was warm got home, went to put it back up and the b*****d never went back up did it!

So a wee phone to renault and its £167.07 for the whole part behind the door! So pissed off its unbelievable!!!!

Same thing happened to me. I went to put it up, sudden gravelly noise then got stuck.

For now to make the car secure take the door card off, I put a length of wood under the window to hold it up, though if you havent the time you can pull the window up and use the ends of a seperated clothes peg jammed in the draft strip (on the inside) like a door wedge it holds the glass up.

I used a window suction clamp. im getting the part today but its just such a pain in the arse!

use something like wood to hold it up so it cant be pushed down

same thing happened to me,i bought one from euro car parts for 67 quid and itcame witrhthe motor,all i had to do was change the wiring plug from my old regulator over to the new one and thats it,in fact it works alot better than the renault one ever did! took me 45 mins start to finish

Same thing happened to me 2 months ago - cost me about £120 to get fixed in the end.......a very common problem with Clio's appranently.

Yeah apparently it is very common, im not that bothered its just the slight scratches on the glass thats more of a concern!

I had the same problem before. What mine broke is just the white plastic thing at the corner, that is where the wire goes. Just a little part, but you need to change the whole thing :-(
