Electric windows - WTF

Had this problem since I bought the car (10 months ago)

When the engine is running everything works fine.

When I turn the key to the first stage (CD player on with ignition off) most of the time the driver side window works, but the passenger window never works.

I would have to turn the key to ignition to open/close the passenger window.

Sometimes neither of the windows will work until ignition is turned on, but when it is, everything works. This cant be normal surely? but all the electrics are fine otherwise. :S

Any ideas?

Drivers window will work when ignition is initially switched off for a few minutes. The timer will cease should any of the doors be opened. Passenger window will never operate unless the ignition is switched fully on.

As far as I can tell, yeah mate.

The drivers window operates for a designated time after the ignition is switched off to allow you to close it once parked etc. Opening any door stops this time-out period.

The passengers doesn't have this feature so yours sounds like all is correct
