electrice door mirror switch melted

this morning i went out to my car to find the driver door mirror trying to adjust when i walked upto it opened the car and smelt burning so removed the switch the loom and plug has melted and i couldnt move the toggle. i spoke to a mate of mine and he said there was a recall on scenics for this problem. Has anyone else had the problem if so did you ring renault customer services because they are the same switches??
