Elephant insurance

Right, true to form, good old HIC renewal came through..........bearing in mind i has lost my no claims due to the joyriders writing my old car off........so, i am 22, drive a 1.2 group 3 clio - modified - HIC.....................£2100! arf arf!

Have hit the net, went on Elephant, mods declared, accident declared.........£1075.........BUT...............£835.75 with my mum on the policy...........thank you very much! Anyone got any more information on this then? Do ya know if elephant cover me 3rd party on other cars? Are they a good enough company, bearing in mind that my write off claim went through HIGHWAY lol! surely they cant be any worse? Any info appreciated. Cheers, Rob.

try liverpool vix as they don charge anything for mods iirc. might work out cheaper.

I have no problems with Elephant and they were by far the cheapest quote i had on the valver at £219!

greenlight seem to be a bit strange.

I am currently with elephant and my renewal quote came through at £689 i think, thats on a 1.2 mods declared and 2 years NCB. Thought i would try greenlight as they gave me a great quote on a 172 of about £1k. Got a quote for my 1.2 and it came back at nearly £900!!!!!!!

I think im going to ring round a few more places at the weekend, and see what the best quote i can get is.

Try CIS, didnt add anything for my mods and gave me the cheapest quote by £300!!!

With elephant and admiral you cant drive another car 3rd party until youre 25. Crazy!!!

I was with Elephant this morning, but this afternoon im with Admiral, same company different prices, they both let me drive any car I want 3rd Party

Tesco have been pretty good when ive been getting quotes for a 172

Elephant were second lowest. Also dropped 20% when adding my girlfriend onto the quote too!

Alot of companys wont let u drive other cars 3rd party until ur over 25 now

im with admiral

were a bit cheaper than elephant for some reason

was with hic before but they couldnt come down enough for me

prob change again at renewal time, at least el and ad answer phones quickly unlike hic

its pretty nifty..........it dropped £200 just by adding my mum.......... nice! On a slightly more pissing note tho.......... the overall quote is about £300 more than it would be, had i been living up in my mates area of Scotland.................

What mods have you got? Is it just wheels and suspension?

I did a quote through Admiral (who Im currently with)and when I tried adding a new set of alloys to the premium and they wanted about £150 extra
