Emissions Light

Car  182 T
Hi, I've searched a lot, this seems to be very common. I've had my car a week from a Renault dealer and it's come on so I've got a few questions.

It's due in for its MOT next week, paid for by the dealer at the dealer as they said they'd do it and didn't before I picked it up.

Assuming the emissions are legal Is the light an MOT fail, and thus should be fixed at the time of MOT?

If not, considering I've had the car a week and its got a year's warranty should this in all reality be fixed by them free of charge?

If I had to do it myself and wanted to look at the lambda sensor would I be able to this with the car on the floor, (I can get under the car alright)

The car is not in limp mode, is doing around 30-32mpg with 'normal' driving and about 23-4 if I give it some beans.

Grateful for opinions.

Thanks.

Dont worry about the light, i have passed a mot with the emissions light on before and they didnt fail it,

if you are worried about it stick some tape over the light ;) sorted,

The light usually comes on due to a faulty lambda sensor or a fucked cat, so get the garage to sort it under warranty

Got simular problem, Bottom right light is on and car is very juddery. Would it be lamba senso??
