EML light on permanently

A few months ago my eml popped on whilst going to work, it's stayed on although the car runs fine as it always has done, it's due a cambelt/plugs etc in a few weeks but is there a scanner I can use at home to see what code it is and maybe sort it, I'm guessing it's a sensor somewhere but not sure, it's a 172cup

Post cat Lambda sensor would be my guess. I just had mine replaced and had the same symptons as you, someone will help you with a decent scanner.

I was going to say the same, if you've had no reduction in fuel consumption and its otherwise okay then past cat O2 is a safe bet.

That's my thinking, other one is new couple years back, post cat is the original one

I got mine from Ebay when they were doing a 20% off deal. I paid around £35 for it
