Engine / Chassis Numbers

Hello,

Can you help me again... I've have spoken to reno today about the parts that I need for my engine which are:

Head Gasket.
Cam Shaft Seals.
Cam shaft blanking caps.
Jointing paste for Rocker cover to head and oil seperator to rocker cover.
Sump seal (also is a sealant used on the sump or just the rubber seal?).
Cam Belt.
Cam Belt Tensioner.
Cam belt folower (the bearing / pulley wheel)
Head Bolts.
Oil Filter.
Water pump gasket.

Now ive found most of the part numbers from reno but for the cam belt and tensioners they need the actual engine or chassis number... the only numbers I can find on the block itself are on a white ticket with a barcode on it which are:

F4R D 736
7701716334
C 023417

Can anyone help / provide me with a chassis number or engine number i could use??

Cheers Ashy

Hi m8,

7700106271 & 7700274026 were the camshaft blanking plugs that fit between the head and the rocker cover. (From what Reno Said)

I guess the 7701476675 is the cam belt / pulley & Tensioners?

Do you mean the chassisnumber as we know that in Belgium? There is one near the engine, one under the passanger seat and one behind the windows. I think they mean the VF11CB22............... number. That's what we call in Belgium the chassisnumber. With that number they can find everything of your car

Try to find out type of the car (CB**) That's a big step if you already know it's a F4R 736.

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
the chasis number is related to the car not the engine so just walk past a car on the st with the same engine and jot it down
