Engine cleaning

While showing off my IK setup and ducting to a mate the other day, he commented on how diry the engine looked. How much would it cost to get it stream cleaned? Is it worth doing? Are there any other ways of doing it??

well u could wash it, jus make sure to dry out the spark plug chambers and the IK, the rest should be alright!

Also take out the battery dont want a nasty shock

i jet spray my engine bay-duno y really cos id rather hide wots under it but works a treat, leave it 2 dry 4 a bit b4 driving 2 ensure it dries. and also cos of the bumpy surface beware of a back wash of water (take it from a pro)

Gunk? (but very smelly for ages), I use white spirit - on with a paintbrush, wipe off with a wrag (clearly too much time on my hands), cleans off oil and dirt a treat.

Take the engine out! but then im just plain sick! lol

Get it steam cleaned, 15 quid or so.

Jet wash is good if used along with Jizer, gunk etc.
