Renault Clio 172 16v
I'm going to be changing my coolant soon.
These are the steps I’m going to take:
1. Warm engine up (to open thermostat)
2. Remove (unscrew) coolant expansion cap
3. Disconnect lower radiator hose and drain coolant
4. Connect lower radiator hose
5. Open bleed screw (does this mean remove the bleed screw completely??)
6. Fill expansion tank until coolant is coming out of bleed screw, then close
7. Warm engine up, about 2,500 rpm without expansion cap on
8. Top up coolant, has coolant drops
9. When full, fit expansion cap
If I have missed anything, please can someone let me know?
How will I know if the system needs bleeding??
Do I need to keep my heater on hot for circulation??
Some of these might be silly questions, but I thought I would ask to make sure.
Help much appreciated
Thanks
Darren
