Engine cutting out

Elf

  Clio 172 cup
Recently while drive at really low speeds , ie when trying to park or coming to stop at a junction , the engine cuts out as if I have stalled the car
This happens when I have the clutch pressed down and the is no juddering like when we all stalled a car while leaning to drive
Also the red stop sign and the battery picture lights up like a normal stall

This happens say once or twice a day

Hope some one can shed some light as it's becoming a bit embarrassing

It could be one of many things, 1, the ICV valve could be dirty/faulty, try giving it a clean with carb cleaner, 2, it could be the upper or lower lambda sensors. The lower one you can pretty much do it yourself, but the upper one (if your clio has 2) is in the engine so requires a lot more experience.

My first clio cut out in 3rd gear, round corners and at slow speeds, no juddering, just cut out. It got to a point where it cut out 7 times in under 2 hours! The upper sensor fixed it, but it could be different with you.
