Just a few questions about the installation of a 172 engine/gearbox in a 182
I know that it should be a straight swap as they are almost identical apart from the breather. Does this breather need anything doing to it or is it just left as is?
Also the gearbox on a 172 has the speedo drive? does this hole just want bunging up, what size bolt/fixing does it need. I assume my 182 gearbox will fit on the 172 block anyway?
Is there anything else required to make the engine compatible? Are all 172 engines created equal?
Will a ph1 engine work? or is that different still?
