Engine 'Hunting' - Poor Idle

  2007 Clio
1) All ignition coils replaced last month

2) 4 x Super 4 spark plugs last month

Hey guys!

My 2007 Renault Clio 1.4 Dymanique has a slightly rough idle.

I only notice it when the revs are below 1k (warm + idle)

Any ideas, common faults to look at? Or any probable suspect causes?

Thanks for any help.

Edit to say that the car drives perfectly fine, just on idle, it's jumpy!

Clean the throttle body and if that doesn't cure it check out the live data values on the CTS and H02 sensors... you'll need diagnostics for that though.

Cleaning the throttle body is just a generic answer to this kind of problem which usually it never actually is ;)

Very true.

Being as its only when warm and on idle worth maybe checking the map sensor and the coolent sensor

Not really, it depends on how fouled up the throttle body is as it effects the air flow thru the plate by blocking it which results in the actuated body having to advance further to stabalise the idle speed... this results in a rough idle.
